Hong Kong is a kind of second home for me. For some strange reason, I am always there when my life is in transition. Perhaps I am always transitioning, always in flux, and it is just a coincidence that I end up there when big decisions need to be made. Either way, every time I go, I see myself and the city from a new perspective. There is something very comforting and invigorating about visiting a place you are familiar with, yet it always shows you new things, even when you’re not looking for anything. Kind of like opening up an old high school textbook, and discovering a note scribbled in the margins from a friend.
That wasn’t there before!
But it has always been there – just didn’t know it at the time.
